Description
The Dragino RS485-LX is a RS485 / UART to LoRaWAN Converter for Internet of Things solutions. Users can connect RS485 or UART sensors to the RS485-LX converter, and configure the RS485-LX to periodically read the sensor data and upload via the LoRaWAN network to an IoT server.
The RS485-LX can interface to RS485 sensors, 3.3v/5v UART sensors or interrupt sensors. The RS485-LX provides a 3.3v output and a 5v output to power external sensors. Both output voltages are controllable to minimize the total system power consumption.
The RS485-LX is IP67 waterproof and is powered by 8500mAh or 190000mAh Li-SOCI2 battery or solar powered with a 3000mAh Li-ion battery designed for long term use.
The RS485-LX runs standard LoRaWAN 1.0.3, Class A. It can reach long transfer ranges and is easy to integrate with LoRaWAN compatible gateways and IoT servers.
For data uplink, the RS485-LX sends user-defined commands to RS485 devices and gets the return from the RS485 devices. The RS485-LX will process the returned data according to user-defined rules to get the final payload and upload it to LoRaWAN server.
For data downlink, the RS485-LX runs in LoRaWAN Class A. When there are downlink commands from the LoRaWAN server, the RS485-LX will forward the commands from the LoRaWAN server to the RS485 devices.
The RS485-LX supports BLE configuration and wireless OTA updates which make the device easy to use.
Each RS485-LX is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration. Users can register these keys to a LoRaWAN server and it will auto connect after powering on.
