LMS01-LX: LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture Sensor

The Dragino LMS01-LX is a LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture Sensor for IoT of Agriculture. It is designed to measure the leaf moisture and temperature, which can be sent to the platform to analyze the leaf status such as : watering status, moisture level, dew, frozen. The probe is IP67 waterproof.

The LMS01-LX detects leaf moisture and temperature using the FDR method, it senses the dielectric constant caused by liquid over the leaf surface, and converts the value to leaf moisture. The probe is designed in a leaf shape to best simulate real leaf characteristics. The probe has as density of 15 leaf vein lines per centimeter which means it can sense small droplets with more accuracy.

The LoRa wireless technology used in the LMS01-LX allows the device to send data over extremely long ranges at low data-rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.

The LMS01-LX supports BLE configuration and wireless OTA updates which makes the device easy to use.

The LMS01-LX is powered by 8500mAh or 190000mAh Li-SOCI2 battery or solar powered with a 3000mAh Li-ion battery designed for long term use.

Each LMS01-LX is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration. Users can register these keys to their local LoRaWAN server and it will auto connect after being powered on.
