RS485-LN: Modbus/RS485 LoRaWAN Converter

The RS485-LN is a Modbus/RS485 LoRaWAN Converter by Dragino. It converts the RS485 devices into LoRaWAN compatible devices which simplifies the installation of IoT and reduces the installation/maintenance cost.

The RS485-LN allows the user to monitor/control RS485 devices and over extremely long ranges. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption. Modbus Converter Information:

For data uplink: The Modbus to LoRaWAN Converter sends user-defined commands to RS485 devices and receives the return from the RS485 devices. The RS485-LN will process these returns according to the user-defined rule to create the final payload to upload to the LoRaWAN server.

For data downlink: The RS485-LN runs the LoRaWAN Class C protocol. When the device receives downlink commands from the LoRaWAN server, the RS485-LN will forward the commands from the LoRaWAN server to RS485 devices.
