Description

The Dragino LDS12-LX is a LoRaWAN LiDAR ToF (Time of Flight) Distance Sensor for Internet of Things solutions. It is capable of measuring the distance to an object as close as 10 centimeters (+/- 5cm up to 6m) and as far as 12 meters (+/-1% starting at 6m)! The LiDAR probe uses laser induction technology for distance measurement.

The LDS12-LX can be applied to scenarios such as horizontal distance measurement, liquid level measurement, parking management systems, object proximity and presence detection, intelligent trash can management systems, robot obstacle avoidance, automatic control, sewage systems, bottom water level monitoring, etc…

It detects the distance between the measured object and the sensor, and uploads the value via wireless to a LoRaWAN IoT Server.

The LoRa wireless technology used in the LDS12-LX allows the device to send data over extremely long ranges at low data-rates. It provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimizing current consumption.

The LDS12-LX supports BLE configuration and wireless OTA updates which makes the device easy to use.

The LDS12-LX is powered by 8500mAh or 190000mAh Li-SOCI2 battery or solar powered with a 3000mAh Li-ion battery designed for long term use.

Each LDS12-LX is pre-loaded with a set of unique keys for LoRaWAN registration. Users can register these keys to their local LoRaWAN server and it will auto connect after being powered on.
